Meet Your CMMS Team

For more than 30 years, Steve Nelson has led CMMS with a simple philosophy: take care of people, invest wisely, and never stop looking toward the future.

Steve founded CMMS with determination, grit, and a vision for providing exceptional mobile diagnostic services to patients and healthcare providers across Texas. In the early days, building the company required significant personal sacrifice. Every available resource was reinvested into growing the business, strengthening operations, and creating opportunities for employees and customers alike. That entrepreneurial mindset continues to guide CMMS today.

Under Steve's leadership, CMMS has successfully navigated decades of industry changes, reimbursement challenges, economic shifts, regulatory hurdles, and evolving healthcare needs. Through it all, the company has remained focused on its mission: delivering dependable, compassionate, and high-quality mobile imaging services wherever patients need them.

Steve believes that long-term success is built on stewardship, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Whether it's investing in new technology, expanding service capabilities, maintaining equipment, or developing employees, he emphasizes taking care of the resources that make exceptional service possible.

One of the principles Steve often shares with the CMMS team is that successful organizations are not always the ones with the most resources—they are the ones that take the best care of the resources they have. That philosophy extends beyond equipment and operations to include relationships, teamwork, and patient care.
As CEO, Steve remains actively involved in the company's strategic direction, growth initiatives, and long-term vision. His commitment to innovation and growth has helped CMMS expand its reach, strengthen customer relationships, and position itself for continued success.

Steve's leadership style is grounded in resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace change while staying true to the company's core values. He believes that challenges create opportunities and that investing in people is one of the most important decisions a company can make.

Above all, Steve is passionate about the people who make CMMS successful. He credits the company's longevity to the dedication, professionalism, and heart of its employees. His leadership approach is rooted in trust, empowerment, and fostering a culture where employees feel supported, valued, and equipped to succeed.

More than three decades after founding CMMS, Steve remains focused on the future. His vision is not only to preserve the company's legacy but to continue building upon it—investing in new opportunities, supporting patients and healthcare partners, and helping lead CMMS into its next generation of success.
"We've spent the last 30 years building this company, and I fully intend to help lead it through the next 30."

Founder and CEO

Crystalyn Hahn has been a cornerstone of the CMMS team for more than 11 years. She first joined CMMS in February 2014 in East Texas and quickly became known for her dedication, adaptability, and commitment to both patients and coworkers. After a brief departure in 2016 to work on a contract with the OU Children's Trauma Center, she returned to CMMS in June 2017 and relocated to Houston later that year.

Over the years, Crystalyn served as CMMS's traveling technologist, supporting operations across nearly every service area in Texas. Her willingness to step in wherever needed earned her a reputation as the team's "doer of everything." In May 2019, she became Supervisor of the Houston area and has continued to play a vital leadership role in the company's growth and success.

What Crystalyn appreciates most about CMMS is the close-knit culture and family atmosphere.
"The thing I love most about CMMS is that everyone feels like family. We have so many long-term employees, and the relationships we've built over the years make this a special place to work."
Her passion for patient care is what continues to drive her every day.

"My job allows me to be a bright spot in patients' lives by being caring, compassionate, and professional. Some patients don't have family members at home, so if I can spend a few extra minutes listening to them, getting them a glass of water, or even helping tidy something in their home, that's incredibly rewarding to me."

One of Crystalyn's favorite memories at CMMS is spending time with company founder Steve Buck and enjoying the team gatherings that brought everyone together.

Outside of work, Crystalyn is a proud mother of three—a daughter and twin sons—and an even prouder grandmother. During her time at CMMS, she became "GiGi" to nine grandchildren in just five years. She lovingly shares that while she always thought her children were the stars of the show, her grandchildren have completely stolen her heart.

Travel is another passion of hers. As a single mother, she created lasting memories with her children through trips to state parks, Branson, Disney, and countless adventures using season passes at Six Flags parks across Texas. Today, she continues her love of travel with visits to her favorite destination, Lake Tahoe, and a growing list of cruise adventures.

Since taking her first cruise in 2023, Crystalyn has become an enthusiastic cruiser and recently returned from her seventh voyage. Her travels have taken her to Cozumel, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Key West, Freeport, Nassau, Belize, and several private Caribbean islands. Next on her itinerary is an Alaskan cruise departing from Seattle.

Crystalyn also treasures the lifelong friendships she has built over the years. One of her best friends, Pamela, has been part of her life since childhood, while her friendship with Georgia has spanned nearly three decades. Together, they have shared countless travel adventures and remain an important part of her life.
Whether she's leading a team, caring for patients, or spending time with her family, Crystalyn brings compassion, dedication, and positivity to everything she does. Her commitment to serving others is a perfect reflection of the values that define CMMS.
